Please note that we have included the proper size of pump and filter in all of these kits. However, as with all filters the maximum flow rate allowed through the filter is limited. In many cases a larger flow rate is required for waterfalls than is allowed through the filters. We offer upgrades for these kits to allow better flow to your new waterfall. We suggest purchasing a kit or upgrade that can provide a flow rate of 100 gallons per hour for every inch of width on your waterfall. (eg. an 11 inch wide waterfall cascade should have a flow rate of 1100 gallons per hour and therefore requires a Pressurflo 3000 filter with a Maxflo 2000 pump) Maximum flow rates for each filter is as follows: Pressureflo 1000 - 330 GPH, Pressureflo 2000 - 660 GPH, Pressureflo 3000 - 1100 GPH, Pressureflo 4000 - 1800 GPH.

All of the pumps we offer in these packages are solids handling pumps. This will provide maximum flow to the filter at all times, as there are no sponges or overly-fine, small pre filter screens to clog. This will also greatly reduce your pump maintenance as there will be no need to retrieve the pump for cleaning on a regular basis.
