Canister Filters
Canister filters are the best choice for serious hobbyists. They require less frequent cleaning than hang on type filters and work much more efficiently. Eheim Classic 2213, 2215 & 2217 canister filters have the longest most reliable track record in the trade. A pump/motor unit that seems to run forever with a minimum of service.
Eheim patented the principle of plumbing the water into the bottom of the canister. This design guarantees that no water can bypass the filter media, while eliminating the need for space wasting media baskets. This allows the canister to be 100% full of media top to bottom, side to side!
