This allows us to ship most items directly from our own inventory, insuring the best possible accuracy and fill rates. In our opinion the best filter to use on a well stocked pond would have to be a skimmer and waterfall combination.
If this filter setup is beyond your budget and if you plan on running a waterfall the next easiest filter to hide out of sight would have to be the Laguna Pressure Filters, NurseryPro UltraKlean or Cyprio Bioforce filters. These filters can be partially buried and run under pressure allowing them to direct filtered water up to the top of your waterfall. With this kind of system there is no need to have an unsightly filter box at the top of your falls! Laguna, Bioforce & UltraKlean filters can also be purchased with a built-in UV clarifier for crystal clear water without the use of chemicals.
If you do not use a solids handling pump you should also consider adding a Laguna Powerflo filter to the intake of your pump. The Powerflo and Powerflo max will take up to 25 times longer to clog than the normal prefilter sponge provided with most pumps. They also screen out most solid debris, thus allowing your main biological filter to work far more efficiently. Easy to connect to the intake hose of any pump from 3/4 to 1 1/4 inch.
